Sr Anna

Anna Dublé RSM. OAM.

Sr Anna  is selling her work so she can give her proceeds to charity. She is currently giving the funds to Asylum Seekers Resource Centre in Footscray.

Anna comes from a background of working for many years in the field of Education, ranging from Kindergarten to Tertiary levels. Following this she worked in Social Welfare for many years with migrant Italian families, quite appropriately as it happens Anna being an Italian migrant herself. For this work she was cited an OAM.

Art has always been an important part of Anne life for even as a Secondary School student she undertook an extensive art course at he Gordon Institute of Technology in Geelong over and above her formal college study.

When opportunity arose for professional development Anna took up the Fine arts course offered at what is now known as Latrobe University in Bendigo (formerly known as the B.I.T.- Bendigo Institute of Technology) It was during this course that printmaking emerged. Anna explored extensively the discipline of tactile print making, selecting etchings as her major interest. Her designs, while mainly abstract, depict her interest in and enjoyment of visual form in nature, and of balance and harmony in the environment.

Anna is an artist who work is experimental, pushing the boundaries of print making. She made most of her work in the 70s while studying at the University of Bendigo. Although Anna’s love for art is strong, she worked in education and in social welfare. She work with CO.AS.IT helping set up its visiting aged care program for Italian migrants, for this she was cited an OAM.
